They are just peanuts.
They are just peanuts.
A woman earns meals for her family from them. For the rest of us, they give us a moment with our friends and family.
Some chat about others and some chat about themselves over these peanuts. I wish if these peanuts had ears. Would we still talk about others then? What would these peanuts say about us, Humans?
I am going back to these peanuts' woman. I want to know how is her life and what is it that she would say about my city, Phnom Penh.
Blame the apps, not the smartphones.
We should not blame the smartphones but the apps and games.
A smartphone doesn't work smart without these apps. These apps and games are the heart and soul of all the attention that these smartphones get. Without Facebook, my use of my iPhone would go down like crazy. And take away the "Clash of Clans" and "Candy Crush", I would probably give away my iPhone. I am just saying!
What if Facebook had limitations on access to our own accounts, especially for students; say, not more than 10 times in 24 hours!
Haha! I should give Mark a call.
A Cup of Joe
Google has it that Coffee is the second most wanted thing on earth after coal.
Did my great Kings like Coffee? I wonder.....
Doctors drink coffee to work thru their graveyard shifts. So, it gotta be good.
Coffee represents attention, starting way back during the wars. That's why there goes a quote, "a cup of joe".
But I feel that the real coffee spirit is dying with so many flavours and colours. There might come a day when Starbucks might come up with 'Infanto Coffee', coffee for kids, haha!
Let me know if Starbucks come looking for my idea.
Am I confident about the Education System here?
Is it fair to have the Grade 12 Exam repeated only because the majority have failed?
What about the past years?
Is it going to be the same next year and the year after?
Has our Education system been this twisted?
Many of those who passed their Grade 12 Exam earlier might have become teachers, Government Officials and employees in other services and companies. How would be their productivity?
I want to trust and have confidence in our Education System and believe that it is only going to become better.
However, a part of me is very hesitant. Am I wrong?
My iPhone is in a Coma.
My iPhone is in a coma.
It went something like this, "kapoop" and since then, I have been finding maself lots of time free.
I wake up and look for it as usual and realized that I might have been wasting an average of 05 mins checking for things I don't need every morning since the day I got it. I could have done push-ups instead.
My lunches and dinners look incomplete as I dont see it beside my plate. I realized how much distracted I was by that thing. Last night, I actually enjoyed my dinner with my parents. My mom told about her day at work and I felt good about the whole thing. My younger brother and I helped mom do the dishes and made a mess out of it.
The classes have been longer and I saw how others in my class were busy with theirs. Some with a hand in the bag, some had it under the book and how many excused themselves for the wash room with it.
My dad came and told me that the technician delayed the delivery and so, I wouldn't have it this whole week. And dad asked if I would want to use his for a while.
I replied, "life's actually simpler this way :o)"
